Never Stop Serving

About Military Officers Association of America

MOAA is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan association of officers from America's military services and the commissioned corps of the U.S. Public Health Service and National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, comprising the nation's uniformed services. We are 350,000 active duty, retired, former, and National Guard and Reserve officers, and surviving spouses, of all ranks and branches who serve or have served, as well as their family members. MOAA advocates with Congress, the Pentagon, the VA, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other departments to preserve and protect earned benefits for our uniformed services, veterans, their families, and surviving spouses through advocacy, leadership, education, and service, fulfilling MOAA's promise to "Never Stop Serving."

The primary mission of MOAA is advocacy. Make your voice heard by contacting your legislative representatives.  To find out how, visit the MOAA Take Action website.

"Never Stop Serving"

This motto reflects MOAA's mission and culture:

  • Supporting service members before, during, and after their military careers
  • Encouraging continued service to the nation through advocacy, leadership, and community involvement
  • Representing the interests of active duty, retired, National Guard, and Reserve officers

It's less about active military duty and more about a lifelong commitment to service beyond the uniform.

Our Mission

The mission of Monterey Bay MOAA is to promote the purposes and objectives of MOAA; to foster fraternal relations among its members; protect the rights and interests of, and provide services for, the members of the uniformed services, their families and survivors; and to advocate for a strong national defense while supporting the community.
